  1. Binders. I thought those were what bras were called back in the day… or should I say the day BEFORE back in the day. *smile*. And, oh yes, aren’t they also natural adhesives and “fillers” for vitamins and meds? Kidding aside, I’m interested to know how you feel about the present day political scene.

How do I feel about the present day political scene? I can report I’m happy with the election results, and cautiously optimistic. It pains me to see the partisian politics of the day, but at least in the US, it is relatively balanced with the House being dominated by one party, and the Senate the other. That makes for some grueling debates and what often feels like ‘stalemate’ ends, but it also functions to defer decision making until some form of real compromise is made between the parties. (Let’s just hope the compromise isn’t made too late, or that it waters down the content of any legislation to the point of it being meaningless or impotent.)

President Obama has a tough row to hoe both with foreign and domestic policy. So I pray for him and the other government leadership for wisdom, a commitment to peace, and a love of justice tempered with mercy.

    What about you, Dianne?
